When you rent a snowmobile from Kinos Safaris in Levi, the published price includes the machine, one set of winter riding equipment, driving instructions, a daily allowance of 200 kilometres and VAT at 25.5%. The included equipment set contains a helmet, overall, gloves and winter boots or shoes.
Fuel is not included, and only one equipment set is included with each snowmobile. Knowing these details before you book makes it easier to compare the real cost and prepare every rider and passenger properly.
What is included in the published rental price?
| Included item | What it means for your booking |
|---|---|
| Snowmobile | Your selected Premium or Superior rental category for the booked period |
| One equipment set | Helmet, overall, gloves and winter boots or shoes for one person |
| Driving instructions | An introduction to operating the machine before departure |
| Distance allowance | 200 kilometres per day |
| VAT | 25.5% VAT is included in the published price |
Driving instructions help you become familiar with the controls, but an independent rental is not a guided tour. You remain responsible for route choice, trail rules, fuel and returning the snowmobile on time. Every driver must show a valid driving licence, and riding is permitted only on marked official snowmobile trails.
What costs are not included?
Fuel is excluded from the rental price. You can refuel at the Safari House, so remember to allow time for this before returning the machine. If you travel more than the included 200 kilometres per day, additional distance costs €1 per kilometre.
A rental includes equipment for one person. If you book a two-seat snowmobile and your passenger also needs riding equipment, an additional set costs €20 per person.
| Possible extra cost | Published amount |
|---|---|
| Fuel | Not included |
| Additional equipment set | €20 per person |
| Distance over the allowance | €1 per kilometre above 200 km per day |
| Damage self-liability, Premium | Up to €1,500 per snowmobile |
| Damage self-liability, Superior | Up to €2,500 per snowmobile |
The self-liability is not an automatic extra fee. It is the renter’s maximum published liability for damage under the applicable rental terms. Read the agreement carefully at collection and ask our team to explain anything that is unclear before you leave.
Are a trail map and track fees included?
A printed Levi snowmobile map is available from the office for €10. You can also view the online Levi snowmobile trail map. The Levi area has an extensive marked network, but trail availability can change with conditions, so plan a route appropriate for your rental time and the day’s weather.
The current rental information does not state that separate route or track fees are included. If your intended route could require a separate permission or fee, ask Kinos Safaris before departure rather than assuming it is covered.
What should you bring with you?
Bring your valid driving licence and warm base layers to wear under the supplied overall. Personal eye protection, a neck warmer and other cold-weather layers can make the ride more comfortable. If your licence was issued outside Finland, contact us before booking so we can confirm what documentation you need to present.
It is also worth deciding in advance who needs equipment. A two-seat Premium snowmobile still includes only one equipment set, so add passenger gear to your budget when necessary.
