Kinos Safaris programme service terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.

Booking conditions
The booking may be made verbally or in writing. The booking is valid for the informed number of persons and will become legally valid once Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd has issued written confirmation of such (by letter or email). The agreement enters into force once the customer has issued written verification for the booking (by letter or email). After the booking has been confirmed, the advance fee of thirty percent (30%) of the total price of the booking shall be paid by the due date.

Cancellations and alterations
The cancellation date is the date when Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd has received information of the cancellation. Bookings must always be cancelled in writing (by letter or email). The following terms are applied for cancellations:
Cancellations made with more than 1 week prior to the commencement of the trip will be without payment
Cancellations received in 7-3 days prior to the commencement of the trip are subject to a 50% charge of the full price
Cancellations received less than 3 days prior to the commencement of the trip are subject to a 100% charge of the full price
If a cancellation is due to the customer or close relative becoming suddenly ill, being involved in an accident or dies, the customer is entitled to receive a reimbursement of the payments with the deduction of 30% of the total price of services ordered. In this case, cancellation must be made immediately. A doctor’s certificate or other verifiable document as the reason for cancellation shall be sent to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd within fourteen (14) days of the cancellation. Cancellation must be made before commencement of the trip. We recommend customers take out the appropriate travel insurance cover against any possible exceptional circumstances and cases of force majeure.

Number of persons
The final and confirmed number of persons shall be informed no later than seven (7) days prior to the commencement of the trip. Changes to the number of persons to +/-10% may still be made 3 days prior to the commencement of the ordered service. The number of persons that is last informed shall be used as the minimum invoicing basis for the final sum to be paid. If a reduction in the final number of participants is informed with less than three (3) days prior to the commencement of the trip, or not informed at all, Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd has the right to charge the contractual price informed in connection with the order confirmation.

Special arrangements
If, based on a request by the customer, Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd acquires special permits or engages in other special arrangements/orders on the request of the customer, the customer is obliged to pay for the costs incurred from such arrangements. Special arrangements should always be specified separately. Special requests must be presented not later than 7 days prior to departure.

Liabilities of the customer
The customer is responsible for all damages that the customer causes to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd or a third party. The customer is obliged to adhere to the instructions issued by Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd concerning the use of the premises, equipment, devices and other special equipment. The customer is obliged to adhere to the informed safety and special instructions and the timetable approved for the programme for the trip. If the customer neglects these responsibilities, Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd is entitled to charge the costs incurred from such neglect.

Use of services belonging to the booking
Any customer who leaves the group, arrives late, does not use the booked services or only uses these in part, is obliged to inform the host/hostess of the trip or the Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd representative. Customers will be charged all costs in full if these have not been informed to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd in accordance with the deadlines mentioned above. If the customer fails to conform to the obligation to inform or arrives late for the specified departure time, the customer will be responsible for arranging their own transportation. The customer group is not entitled to receive a discount for any services not used.

Snowmobile rental terms and conditions

  1. The driver agrees to comply with Finnish law and regulations and good manners.
  2. Driver must be at least 15 years old and have a driving license minimum class T.
  3. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited.
  4. Rent includes 200km/day, the excess kilometres will be charged 1€/km.
  5. Rent does not include fuel or lubricants, Snowmobile is rented and returned with full tank.
  6. Renter is responsible to take care of all normal reviews and maintenance, like motor oil level and replacement of spark plugs and driving belts.
  7. Renter is responsible of all damage caused to snowmobile or to third part.
  8. All accidents with snowmobile must be informed to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd immediately. Repairing is not allowed without a permission of Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.
  9. All snowmobiles are insured (notice own liability on snowmobile)
  10. In case of collision damage or theft or vandalism or user error customer own liability is:
    • Standard and Premium class 1000€/snowmobile
    • Superior class 1500€/snowmobile
    • Personal injury 1000€/damage
    • Own liability must be paid to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd immediately after rental time closes.
  11. If snowmobile occurs technical problems or other failures during the rental time and Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd repairs or replaces the snowmobile in reasonable time there will be no refund given from the rental time or price.
  12. Snowmobile must be returned on the time and place agreed, in the same condition as it was when rented. If snowmobile is not returned on time extra rental time will be charged 20€/starting hour/snowmobile.
  13. If snowmobile is not returned at the time and the place agreed, company can charge all costs full from renter.
  14. Renter accepts all extra charges on payment card.
  15. Snowmobile is not allowed to use in competition or in activities that are against law.
  16. Giving the snowmobile to third part or taking snowmobile out from Finland is not allowed without permission from Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.
  17. Renter is authorized to use the snowmobile mentioned in this agreement and show the copy of the agreement when needed.
  18. Disputes will be settled priority through negotiation but if needed they are placed on the district court in home place of Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.

Equipment rental terms and conditions

  1. The customer agrees to comply with Finnish law and regulations and good manners.
  2. Renter is responsible of all damage caused to equipment or to third part.
  3. Equipment breakdown must be informed to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd immediately. Repairing is not allowed without a permission of Kinos Safaris.
  4. In case of collision damage or theft or vandalism or user error customer own liability is :
    • canoe, kayak, row boat, engine 250€/equipment
    • sup-board 400€/pice
    • rod and reel 50€/equipment
    • lure/fly 10€/piece
    • other equipments of the current value of the equipment
      • Own liability must be paid to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd immediately after rental time closes.
  5. If the equipment occurs problems or other failures during the rental time and Oy Kinos Safaris repairs or replaces the equipment in reasonable time there will be no refund given from the rental time or price.
  6. Equipment must be returned on the time and place agreed, on the same condition it was when rented. If equipment is not returned on time extra rental time will be charged 20€/starting hour.
  7. If equipment is not returned at the time and the place agreed, company can charge all costs full from renter.
  8. Renter accepts all extra charges on payment card.
  9. Equipment is not allowed to use in competition or in activities that are against law.
  10. Giving the equipment to third part or taking out from Finland is not allowed without permission from Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.
  11. Renter is authorized to use the equipment mentioned in this agreement and show the copy of the agreement when needed.
  12. Disputes will be settled priority through negotiation but if needed they are place on the district court in home place of Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.

Safari terms and conditions

  1. Customer must follow guide’s instructions.
  2. Customer must follow the rules and laws and good manners
  3. Customer (driver) has to be at least 15 years old have a valid driver’s license minimum class T for snowmobile.
  4. Driving under influence of drugs or alcohol is prohibited. Alcohol tolerance on safaris is zero (0).
  5. Customer is responsible for the damages caused to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd and third parties.
  6. All damages and breakages has to be reported to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd immediately.
  7. All snowmobiles are insured.
  8. In case of accident or user error own liability is:
    • Standard, premium class 1000 € / snowmobile
    • Superior class 1500 € / snowmobile
      • Own liability must be paid to Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd immediately after rental time closes
  9. If the vehicles/equipments occur technical problems or other failures during the safari and Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd repairs or replaces the vehicle/equipment in reasonable time there will be no refund given from the price.
  10. Disputes will be settled priority through negotiation but if needed they are placed on the district court in home place of Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.

Invoicing terms

If program services are invoiced and payment is not made on time, annual interest on delayed payment will be charged in accordance with section 4 of the Interest Act.

Miscellaneous matters for consideration
The customer is responsible for ensuring the permits and certificates required for using the services are valid, for instance driving licenses. Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd may not be held responsible for compensating any possible damages incurred by the customer related to natural conditions, insects, animals or unexpected changes in the weather. Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd reserves the right to alter or cancel the programme if weather conditions or other factors would cause a hazardous conditions or otherwise compromise safety. Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd is not responsible for brochure printing errors or changes occurring after publication of the brochures. The customer is responsible for organizing transportation if not included in the price quoted for the booked programme. The customer is responsible for arriving at the specified time and place in good time.

Complaints
Any possible complaints must be made on-site at the destination. If this is not possible or no satisfactory solution is achieved at the destination, or if damage compensation is related to such, the complaint must be sent in writing no later than one (1) week from the end of the trip. Priority disputes will be settled through negotiation but if needed they are placed on the district court examined in home place of Oy Kinos Safaris Ltd.
